Dr. Justin Vassar
“I wish I had known then what I know now – the body can heal itself when given the correct input. That would have helped me tremendously as I suffered through low back pain in high school, yet continued to ignore my poor diet and body mechanics.”
Chiropractic Career Path
I finally saw a chiropractor to see if they could fix the issues with my low back pain. I was immediately intrigued at how they were able to treat my pain in a natural way. After doing more research on the profession, I realized that helping people find relief from pain and injury was my true calling.
After graduating from Bangor High School in 2005 and obtaining my BS at Grand Valley State University in 2009, I chose National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, IL to start my chiropractic education. While there, I was shown many ways to treat patients, and was amazed at the results I saw when they were used alongside the traditional chiropractic adjustment. Because of rigorous classes, excellent professors, and similar health care philosophies, I was able to see how looking at whole body health can provide the best outcomes.
Away from Vassar Chiropractic and Rehabilitation
While at Grand Valley, I met my other half, Nina. We enjoy traveling to familiar and new places, camping, bike riding, and spending time with friends and family. We are both very excited to return to southwest Michigan and help serve the community.
